This is a 5-day training course that dwells on regulatory treatment of minigrids. The course focuses on key aspects of regulations for minigrids. The course provides policy and planning guidelines for regulating minigrids including categories and thresholds for mini grids, ownership models, and general licensing terms and conditions. Participants in this course also learn tariff structures and regulatory oversight, models for operation at arrival of the grid, technical requirements and standards for minigrids. Participants get an opportunity to delve deeper into sample country regulations for minigrids plus an opportunity to visit a mini-grid site to interact with the owners/operators.
